ALCHERA ESSEX BLUE CLASS
"Jazmine".
19.03.2004 - 08.02.2006
JAZMINE was a little darling
from the beginning, so pretty, well behaved and together. She lived indoors for the first six months of her life and was
such a sweetheart.
A very gentle young lady with an
elegance and maturity of a much older Dane.
In the ring
she stood like a rock and moved like a dream, allowed
strangers to handle her and never stressed.
As a
youngster she took on the Top Blue Bitch of 4 consecutive
years and beat her on two occasions, Jazmine had all the
qualities that are necessary and beyond - she was just a
joy to have held and loved and been loved by.
So
trusting right up to the last minute when an imcompetent vet
(I hasten to add not my regular veterinary practise but an
emergency national service) lost her her life during an
operation for bloat, I say imcompetent because when a delay of
over 2 and half hours has occured and it's even been suggested
that she waited until the next morning for the operation which
everyone knows that Gastric Dialation needs immediate
attention!!!
I can't go into that long drawn out evening
and relive the pain associated with it but I am haunted by
Jazmine looking back for me as she was being put under the
anaesthetic, when I told her, it's ok Jazmine, I'm here -
mummy will see you when you wake up - only she didn't but she
came home with me for the day until collection for cremation.
My thanks to Keeley, Sue and Ian for being there for me and
Jazmine at this extremely tragic time.
You were only with us for a
while but whilst I would rather things had been different I
wouldn't have missed having you in my life, you were a very
special little lady and I love you Jaz, Rest In Peace my
sweetheart.
